At Pantry Press, we have a hunger for books. Working in collaboration with the author, curator and/or artist we cook up beautifully produced editions. From cookbooks to catalogues we have a hankering for the feel of paper and the smell of ink.

Social Stationery & Product Design

How about an invitation to a party? We’ve been designing and making social stationery for many years. We may not have our own presses anymore but our production partners are skilled in bringing our designs to life on paper. Take a look at the examples we designed and printed above and invite us to your next event.

Every graphic designer gets asked to design business cards, and we have designed our fair share. What really excites us is getting inside the head of your business, the philosophy and raison d’etre. We can work with you to make impactful statements for your business communications, events and collateral. Let’s do lunch.

Surface Design

While we were on the road, eating up the miles and kilometres, we got a real craving to take our personal illustrations and photos to the next level. As we considered what we’d be doing for a residency at Spark Box Studio in 2016 we hit upon the idea of working with fabric. This is called “surface design” and includes working on patterns and images for all manner of surfaces: Giftwrap, Wallpaper, Rugs, Garments, Handbags, and of course one of our favourite things, Stationery.

Shangri-La Project

We were the proud recipients of the 2016 National Residency Award and the First Annual Dawson Bursary at Spark Box Studio in Picton, Ontario. At the end of our month-long residency, we presented a multimedia installation entitled Shangri-La. The installation is inspired by our experiences on the road and at hundreds of campgrounds throughout North America. Using our camper van as a platform for our photography, video, printmaking and sculpture we elaborate on a Utopian state of being that many roadsteaders dream of and manifest.
